Straight answers,

What it costs. How long it takes. Who owns it at the end. Whether it will actually bring you work. These are the questions we get on nearly every first call, so here are the answers in full. If yours isn’t below, call us and ask it directly.
Money and time
How much does a website cost in South Africa?
Two tiers. No hidden extras, no surprise invoices.
For service businesses that need to be found, look credible and take enquiries.
For businesses running e-commerce, bookings or integrations, with ongoing SEO.
The once-off covers design and build. The monthly covers hosting, security, changes and monitoring, so the site stays fast and current instead of ageing quietly.
Most South African agencies charge R15,000 to R40,000 up front and then leave you to it. See exactly what the monthly covers.
What’s included in the monthly fee?
Professional, R1 499 / month
- Hosting, domain and SSL certificate
- Security patches and software updates
- Content changes: new photos, prices, services, staff
- Uptime and page-speed monitoring
- Google Business Profile kept current
- A monthly report of what the site is actually doing
Enterprise, R1 999 / month. Everything above, plus:
- Ongoing search engine optimisation
- Priority turnaround on changes
- Support for e-commerce, bookings and custom integrations
- A quarterly strategy call
No lock-in contract on either tier. If it stops being worth it, you stop paying.
How long does it take to build a website?
One week for a standard business site, from the day we have your content. Larger builds with e-commerce, booking systems or custom integrations run two to four weeks.
You get a date at the start, and we hold to it.
How do payments work?
Fifty percent of the build fee to begin. Work starts the day it clears. The balance is due before launch.
Your first monthly payment falls thirty days after launch, so it never lands in the same week as your build balance. Your first month of service after launch is covered by the build fee.
After that, each monthly payment covers the month ahead and is billed on the same date each month. You always know what is coming and when.
How many revisions do I get?
Two full rounds during the build, plus small tweaks throughout. We show you the design before a line of the site is written, which is where most revisions get resolved cheaply.
What you actually get
Do you use WordPress or templates?
Neither. Every site is written from scratch in code.
Templates and page builders carry thousands of lines you never use. That is the single most common reason South African small business sites crawl on mobile — and most of your customers are on a mid-range Android on 4G, not a laptop on fibre. Custom code means your site loads in under two seconds on the phone your customer is actually holding.
Who owns the website when it's finished?
You do. The domain is registered in your name and stays yours if you leave. The site itself is yours too, and you can take it to any host.
We do not hold your domain or your site hostage as a retention strategy.
Do you handle hosting and domains?
Yes. Hosting, domain, SSL certificate and business email, all set up and handed over with the logins. Hosting and domain renewals are billed at cost, in your name. You are never locked in.
Am I locked into a contract?
Four months minimum from launch on both plans — four monthly payments. After that it continues month to month, automatically.
Cancel any time with thirty days’ written notice. No new contract, no renewal negotiation, no penalty. You keep your domain and your site either way.
What happens after the site goes live?
You get a walkthrough of how everything works, and your monthly plan starts the following month. That covers hosting, security updates, content changes, monitoring and reporting.
A website isn’t a thing you finish, it’s a thing you run. The monthly is what keeps it fast and current instead of quietly ageing until it needs rebuilding in two years.
Getting found on Google
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site ships with technical SEO built in. Clean structure, correct headings, schema markup, a sitemap, fast load times, and your Google Business Profile set up properly. That makes you findable.
Ranking above established competitors for a competitive term is a different job, and it takes ongoing work over months. We will tell you honestly which of the two you need rather than selling you the expensive one by default.
Can you fix or rebuild my existing website?
Yes. Send us the URL and we will run a free technical audit showing what is slowing it down, what is breaking your Google visibility, and what it would cost to fix versus rebuild.
Sometimes the honest answer is that the site is fine and the problem is somewhere else. We will say that too.
Do you do Google Ads and Facebook advertising?
Yes, but only once the site can convert the traffic. Sending paid clicks to a page that does not convert is the fastest way to burn an advertising budget, so we fix the destination first. We would rather turn down the spend than take it and waste it.
Working together
Where in South Africa do you work?
Everywhere. All nine provinces, not just the Western Cape.
Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, and the small towns in between. We are based in Langebaan on the West Coast, and we have never once needed to be in the same room as a client to build them a site that works.
Everything happens over calls, WhatsApp and email. Where you are makes no difference to what you get.
What do you need from me to get started?
Your logo if you have one, photos of your actual work, a list of your services, and thirty minutes on a call.
If you do not have photos or a logo, we will tell you at the start rather than halfway through — and we can sort both out.
Why use a small team instead of a big agency?
You speak to the people writing the code. No account manager relaying messages, nothing outsourced.
The trade-off is real. We take on fewer projects at a time, so if we are full we will say so instead of stretching and missing your date.
Ask it on a call
If your question is not above, the fastest answer is a two-minute phone call. No script, no sales sequence.
